Very nice. There are ambient passages very cold and hovering with a touch of blackness and tracks full of hate with a pure raw sound. The vocals are very hostile, haunted, and the ambience is purely dark. That's the way I like my Black Metal, purely evil, possessed and icy as the night. Primitive and sick, I recommend highly this release for all fans of pure Black Metal insane and icy with a grim touch. Otherwise, nice atmosphere and pure blackness...

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity. Favorite Track(s): Die Feuertaufe, Grabenlieder
